Résumé

The geographical field is considered the most important pillar of modern geographical studies, as it is the space in which many elements interact and a group of relationships and interactions intertwine that produce a livable and stable geographical area within the framework of what is dictated by sustainable development today, and perhaps this is what made those interested in educational policies in the country focus on this concept Because of its importance in the socialization of learners .

In order to study this topic, we will try to focus on the concept of the geographical field in the document of educational directives and programs for teaching social studies in the secondary school year and in the textbook by making a comparison between two textbooks, “Success in Social Studies” and “Manar Social Studies”, in order to highlight the extent of the presence of the geographical field in these two courses, which It would help the learners in acquiring a spatial culture that would support them in taking positive attitudes towards their geographical field with its multiple dimensions.

In this study, reliance was made on the bibliographical study that deals with the subject, and then on the content analysis network through the study of the educational guidance document and the programs for teaching social studies in the secondary secondary school year on the one hand, and the comparison between the two mentioned textbooks on the other hand. The study concluded that the concept of the geographical domain is strongly present in the construction of study units in the books studied, with clear differences recorded in the nature of the learning objectives (cognitive - methodological / skill - sentimental) adopted in the study of issues and problems related to the study of the geographical domain for learners.
