Abstract

The aliquoting system and management of serum libraries are critical in
laboratories, particularly in medical research and biology. These processes
enable the systematic collection and storage of biological samples, ensuring the
quality and reliability of experimental data. Aliquoting involves dividing
samples into smaller portions, allowing their subsequent use without
compromising their integrity. Effective management of serum libraries ensures
sample traceability, thereby facilitating research, comparison, and result
validation. However, manual sample distribution can lead to issues such as
human error, inefficient use of time and resources, and an increased risk of
contamination. This article aims to address the challenges associated with
manual distribution of biological samples in laboratories. The primary objective
is to design and develop a robotic system for aliquoting and managing the
serum repository, which will significantly enhance the performance and
competitiveness of medical laboratories.
