About the Journal

contemporarymedusa
Contemporary Medusa is an interdisciplinary international peer-reviewed journal (published twice a year) dedicated primarily to publishing manuscripts that speak to the major issues in Gender Studies. The journal considers publishing highly selective research in gender theory and practice. The scholarship to be published in Contemporary Medusa is diverse and comprises a blend of methodological and theoretical approaches. It tries to document voices of inequity/inequality in the contemporary world and educates instead on topics of diversity and inclusion.
The journal welcomes latest research contributions that have the potential of transforming our collective understanding of gender and sexuality dynamics fluctuating power relations in global spaces, and encourages submissions that foster equality essential for modelling a vision of a more just society. The journal further adopts a gender justice agenda that promotes thinking, dialogue and debate between academic gender researchers, activists within the feminist movement and other segment of civil society; an agenda which sets out a commitment to a fairer world for all.
